2000 Park ave programing new key?

Hi Everybody, Question pass key 3 key programing???? I bought a new key for my car, dealer said turn key to on leave it on for 30 mins turn off, take key out ,put key back in and turn on. the parts manager said three times of ten mins tried both neither worked only have valet key any body know how to program besides the fact the damn key cost $52.00!!!!!!.......
