Yes, I am just referring to the actual dash, not the instrument cluster. I am needing to replace my dash in my 1981, but I am not sure what other years will fit.

Well I dont know much about 2nd gens but im sure there are some differences because of the A/C vents or something.. have you looked for it at yearone.com? or other parts site? Also there isnt a difference between 1980 and 1981, but ofcourse the difference will be between the A/C vents having one or not. So look around.

dash is the massive assembly in the front of the cabin... are you talking about dash or dash pad? dash pad is usually what will get sun damaged and crack... if you're talking about dash pad... then i'm pretty sure they are the same

heres another option.they make a cap for those dashes that fit over the top of the old dash.it takes about 5 minutes and looks great i've got on in my '79 z-28.it only costs about $80
