Angry Starting and alarm problem...

Ok so I just bought a 1995 Golf GL 4 door from a buddy as a winter beater. It only has 94,500 miles, 5 speed. He hit a ditch and broke the windshield and the tranny has no reverse. Bought it for $400. Anyway when I drove it home it ran flawlessly besides the check engine light being on. This morning I woke up had a flat tire so I moved the car to flat ground, put the spare on and when I went to move the car back when I tried to start it, it sounded like a bunch of clicks and nothing so I tried to start it again and it fired up. So I moved it back and parked it, shut it off and tried to start it again. Just clicking again but no starting. I was thinking maybe there was to much corrosion on the battery terminals so I was going to clean that, but before that happend I started to get out of the car and like pushed on the steering wheel and the alarm started to go off. All I have is a key I don't have anything to turn the alarm off so I just unhooked the battery for now to get it to stop going off. Any help on either of these 2 problems is greatly appreciated.

Re: Starting and alarm problem...

thats a good deal!

soundsl ike it needs a starter

also alarm could be for many reasons, ign switch, alarm module, door latch, harness in door broken ect... look for previous posts on alarm problems and you will find many things to look for
