LeSabre A/C Fan Problem

I have a 1995 LeSabre Limited. Dual climate control. My wife and I turned off the a/c with the switch on the front panel, as it was an unseasonably cold winter this year in Florida. When it started to get warm again last week, I tried turning on the a/c again with the front panel switch, by pressing the auto button. No fan at all, even when switching to 'vent'. The front panel lights all come on, and after inspecting under the hood, I can see some condensation on the a/c lines and even feel some cool air from the vents when driving (probably the wind blowing over the a/c lines). But still no fan. I've tried to run the car with the a/c climate control at 72 for 20 minutes like my car manual says, but the fan still does not engage. Is this a fuse problem? I can't understand why the a/c worked great until we pressed the 'off' button then won't work when we turn it back on. PLEASE HELP US!!!

It sounds like you weren't using the fan at all during the time the AC was turned off?

There is a control module on the blower motor housing under the hood under the "relay control center" on the firewall. It's about 4 x 6 inches. It can go bad with fan stuck on, or erratic speeds, or no fan.

A check to be sure the fan motor will work is to connect a wire from the battery with a fuse in it to the blower connection on the blower box. I don't know the color code. Ground wire should be black and there should be an orange, red, or purple wire that gets the power to the blower motor.

Try the blower motor test with a large fuse first.
