Si front end conversion

ok i know this probably have been covered in past threads already but i tried searching for it but i couldn't find none.. but my question is when doin this do u really have to change your fenders, lights and hood just to fit the Si front bumper? this guy that works close to my job just did his and i was talkin to him and he told me that u have to do all that because the whole front is wider than the 96-98 fronts.. to me they look the same just the front bumpers changed but that could jus be me.. well thanks for any help
