milage 89-98 K1500

Ok just wondering what others are getting milage wise??

I have a 1992 K1500 350, 7004R Trans, 4.11 gears getting around 13mpg.
I dont drive this thing that much, with the old 3.42 I think it would get around 15mpg (Hwy).

I don't expect to get good gas milage with this thing, just wondered what others are getting. I'm running 285-75-16 tires.

I'm about due for an engine replacement (mega miles)

ok, so even with 4.11 gearing I'm not too far off from what others are getting.

Hehe that is a little low for a 2wd. You have 5.13 gears right? lol

Re: milage 89-98 K1500

Well, I don't drive it very often, and when I do it doesn't normally get up to temp....It basicly takes me between home and the fire station or the fire/medical/accident scene, usually only about 1/2 mile at the most. And that's usually all driven about WOT!!
