tire&rim sizes

will 245/70 16 be ok for my stock 2000 Wrangler?
outlaw ll 16x8 rims

You'll be fine I have 235/75 15 also on outlaw II's but 15 instead of 16. the 245/70 16' come out to be about a 29 1/2" tire mine come out to be around 29". I have no prob right now for moderate offroad. There is a good forum called "tire size and clearance", on the top of the wrangler list check it out.

would I be better off with 235/70 16? or am I makeing a big deal out of this

The 2 sizes are pretty close to the same, you wont have any problems with either of them.
