Removing 87 GFX(moved)

I have a problem, no one replies in non-performance, anyway to the real problem. Who's ever taken off their gfx before?

I take out every single screw except for a couple. I took out the screws behind the emblem and everything in and underneath the door jamb. So it's loose now, and I'm looking for the last screws to take out.

So I start taking apart all of the interior(btw, seats are out) taking off everything on the door jamb, but that interior with the speakers goes all the way into the trunk so I must be doing something wrong. Or Am I? Thanks

Re: Removing 87 GFX(moved)

If I remeber correclty there 's a plastic "gasket" that stops water from rusting the threads and kinda freezes itself on.

You lost me on the trim/sail panels. You're trying to get the actual plastic panels that run the entire sides of the hatch/cargo area?

Yes but I don't know if I'm supposed to. I want to get the side skirts off and it's still attached right in front of the rear wheels, there's one or two screw left but they're hidden.

I thought the only way to get access to them would be to take the interior panels, ie hold the speakers and seatbealts, off and it's behind there. But honestly I don't know where the screws are so I'm asking you guys. Thanks and sorry for the confusion

you shouldnt have to take your interior apart to take off the ground effects.

Re: Removing 87 GFX(moved)

I just took off the plastic where it says Fisher on it and there's nothing but some slots for the screws I just took out. Who's taken off their side skirts before?

Re: Removing 87 GFX(moved)

Okay I need more 3rd genners in here, I can't find this stupid screw. Gonna work on finding it again, right when I wake up. Good thing I didn't drink much

*EDIT guess what? I DO have to take apart the interior that lines the trunk and all that...nice. IF someone here took the side skirt off without doing this, I'd like to know how. There should be a hole behind the rear seatbelt/speaker interior panel, and that's where you get access to a nut, and that should be it.
