Alfa Romeo will now work together rather than with Ferrari. Ferrari bought Maserati in 1997.
Fiat SpA owns everything (Lancia, Fiat, Alfa Romeo, Maserati, and Ferrari). The Maserati MC12 is basically a Ferrari Enzo, but it is longer, wider, and looks far better (at least in my opinion). The Quattroporte, Coupe, and Spyder have Ferrari-developed engines. Maserati's old factory is still in use. |

Re: just wondering...rumor
Maserati is only being used to bring the Alfa Romeo brand up just as Maserati was helped out of their dark era by Ferrari. All are owned by the Fiat group and don't expect a quality/performance to decrease. They not only have Ferrari developed engines... they also inherited the F-1 transmission from the Ferrari which is called Cambiocorsa by Maserati.
