oil change issue
i have an 02 grand prix 3.1 I notice when i remove the oil filter there does not seem to be a way to prevent oil from draining down the wire loom that runs underneath the front of the oil pan. seems like over time this would be bad for the wires. seems like a bad GM design. has anyone found a fix for this?

Re: oil change issue
There's a little lip molded into the block that is suppose to direct the draining oil out a ways so it drains straight to the floor but like you say that wire loom is still in the way. I just stick a heavy paper towel right at the end of that lip and catch most of the oil that comes out as I unscrew the filter. Then I set the filter off to the side and then wipe around the filter mounting area, on the sealing surface and then put the new filter on.
