In Progress: 03 STi V-limited

Heres a new project for me, the first of 06. I dont post in here much, but ive been steadily working on this for the past few days so i figured i might as well make a progress thread. First, I tried to clean the body up as best as i could, then primed it using tamiya XF-66 light grey. I wanted to make this with some inspiration from NASIOC, so i took a few of the cleanest scoobies and started to build off of that. I made the reverse hood scoop, and i am putting the finishing touches on tomorrow. I started making a custom lip, which is chargespeed inspired. I am not going for a replica, im taking ques from their lip and putting my own style into it. Anyways, thats it for tonight!
A few of the pictures are a tad blurry. Its hard to keep my hand steady when taking pictures .

the reverse scoop.

just puttied up the lip, and have am going to start the shaping process tomorrow after work.

wheel choice

I have a set of seats picked out, but didnt take a picture of them. Bride Zeta II's. I also plan on doing a custom cage, but im trying not to dig myself too deep with a bunch of plans first. I just have a vision in my head as to what i want it to look like, and will take it as i finish each peice.

CAN you make a clean scoobie without an FMIC?

Im thinking about using one from a box-o-parts i have. I think the FMIC is from the HKS Genki s15.

thanks for the comments guys .

EDIT: im sc00by4life. a scooby newbie even though ive been on the forums for almost a few months now. i just rarley post. i made a post in OT with all the otters. of course, half of nasioc hates the chargespeed lip .

I don't think those rims look good on anything so..hehe..You should put the prodrives on there from the Kei office. I've been on nasioc for a few years now and am still a newbie. Remember OT posts don't count. haha..I can't wait to see some more on this!

Yea, those wheels are more life drift style sicne they're Advans. Personally I always thought Subie's looked good with mesh wheels...

Re: In Progress: 03 STi V-limited

Update:

So i started alittle bit of more work on the lip. I filled in the bottom side holes, although i am having some trouble getting this thing super smooth. its either the putty im working with (Tamiya Basic Putty), or the sand paper. I have been using some 220 grit..which still isnt smoothing out some of the bumps from the styrene (i used too thick of styrene for filling in the sides), and finishing up with 1000 grit. Not too sure. I also started some JDM rear valances, which are very basic right now. Ive got the reverse scoop almost exactly the way i want it. Anyways, ON TO THE PICS!

Update on the lip. I also cleared the grill. Any advice on how to get this ultra smooth?

The rear valances:

Wheel choice so far, Work Emotions that are too small, some wheels that look like CE28n's that came off of the MCR Skyline, and the Super Advans. I am trying to hunt down some CE28n's from my LHS, they werent open yet when i first went so maybe ill go sometime this afternoon or i will go tomorrow.

Bride seats

The FMIC that i will be using:

This pic is really blurry, but you can see how much the IC fills up the front end .

Comments and critisism wanted.
