Off Topic! - Homework Help!

Hello. For the smart ones out there, I need some homework help.

Ok, the class is Public Speaking (I know, another BS course) and the assignment is too right an INFORMATIVE SPEECH. In other words I have to right a speech to "convey knowledge and understanding".

It can be about an object, process, event or concept or whatever.

For example, the speech can be about a disease, any where to rebuilding an engine. It can be about ANYTHING (got to be educational though).

So as of right know I just need to submit to the teacher 3 TOPIC ideas.

One I have chosen is to talk about a disease (diabettes)

But one subject that i would like to talk about is obivously a car, but what part/process of a car can I talk about (i.e. rebuilding engine).

Any thoughts and suggestion are wanted.

THANKS!

Re: Off Topic! - Homework Help!

You could talk about overall how a car works, or the emission system ( PCV, EGR, ect)

Re: Off Topic! - Homework Help!

I wrote my persuasive speech for public speaking on why zoos were bad. It was great because nobody really knew anything about it, nobody really cared, and I could care less about it. Made it easy to pick a side and run with it. I say go with something more obscure.

Hmmmmmmmmm.....interesting...just out of curiosity, what is so bad about zoos...besides the fact of "imprisoning" animals.

MORE IDEAS PLEASE...LOL

THANKS!

Re: Off Topic! - Homework Help!

Give me about 6 more weeks and I will have a write up for rebuilding an engine for you to use . Personally, I would explain how a turbo works. Basically no one knows how they work, I think it would be a great topic.

Re: Off Topic! - Homework Help!

It can be about anything? Then you could do something on the death by lethal injection, or the death penalty itself. (what i am doing right now in english) These aren't "How To" speeches right?
There is alot to talk about, and give speeches about. Think of something that you are really intrested in; and talk about it... CYYYYYAAAA

Re: Off Topic! - Homework Help!

for my comm205 class, my informative speech was about DSM's. I went through history, present, and racing. Good speech, I got an "A".
