Smile I need some opinions

I just recently got a black 1997 gp gtp with only 70k miles on it. It seems to be a great car. I have had a lot of fun with it already. Ive already won a good share of drag races with it. I especially enjoy beating mustangs. So far i have upgraded with a 3.4" pulley, cai, and autometer guages. My boost guage goes over to about 12psi so im happy with the power. Anyway, the next upgrades i get will be a dhp pcm and a thermostat. I was wondering, would you go with a 160* thermostat or a 180*. Thanks and I look forward to talkin to you all.

Re: I need some opinions

160 works in the summer if you have a reprogrammed PCM for fan turn on points adjusted for that temperature of thermostat. If you run the car in the winter the 180 degree stat is the best so that you will have heat.

Don't run the 160 degree stat without a reprogrammed pcm that has had the fan turn on points lowered since you may overheat your engine due to the fan set point being too high and the car may overheat before the fans actually kick in.
