grand am 97 help!

yo like what type of headers could i get 4 my grand am 97 v6, like how much power do u think i would get with new headers. And what about the cold air intake, what exactly does it do. Also what the heck are pulleys.

Headers would net you probably 10+hp

An intake is a simple mod, basicly what it does it allowes you to draw in cold air (but the intake has to be places outside of the engine by, like in the fender area) and colder air=denser air, thus making more power.

Pulleys are the round parts that have the black belt around them on the side of your engine. The pulley on your crank turns, turning the belt, and then turns the other pulleys driving things like your alternator and so on. In your case, you are probably talking about pulleys in a performance sense. These replace you stock pulley with lighters units, this helps the motor, b/c it doesnt have to spin the stock heavy pulley. This mod doesnt MAKE hp, but it frees up some power instead.
