Power Steering pressure hose installation-please help
I have to replace my PS pressure hose on my Celica. The hose has a banjo connector on one end. The new hose came with two copper washers for each side of the banjo connector on the pump end. It also came with a yellow plastic thimbal looking thing. I can't figure out what it's for. I see nothing like it on the old hose. Anyone know??
Thanks |

Re: Power Steering pressure hose installation-please help
I just finished changing power steering hose on 87 celica and I have no idea what kind of plastic thing your looking at. You don't need it. It is a good idea to go by your local toyota dealer and pick up a new copper washer set-you don't want to go through taking that hose off twice.

Re: Power Steering pressure hose installation-please help
I called gates who made the hose. The plastic piece was a temporary insert for the unconnected hose so the fluid doesnt drain out of the reservoir.
