94 Sunbird Noisy as hell!

I've got a 94 Sunbird i'm working on with the I4 2.0L engine in it. I'm having a few problems with it. Its loosing water from the radiator and the overflow somewhere under the passenger side. I'm thinkin its a hose somewhere. Also its extremely noisy. It sounds like a lawn mower when you first start it and it just seems as though the motor is vibrating like crazy. I'm hoping changing the valve cover gasket and the plugs and etc on it will fix the issue. Any suggestions on the leak and the noise would be greatly appriciated....

Re: 94 Sunbird Noisy as hell!

2.0's are noisy engines to begin with.. add age, bad plugs and wires, and it'll only get worse. My 94 is getting loud too, but only in gear. I just put new plugs and wires and it's alittle better.

Pass leak.... Hard to say, as there the rad hose is in the front... only thing on the pass side is the Water pump (witch happened to me.. leaking like a siv), and the related hoses behind it... those are a real bitch to get to, espicially with an auto trans.

Put it on ramps, and see if the back of the block is wet under the intake... if it is, then that hose is probably leaking. If not, check behind the crank pulley.. if it's wet there, they you've got a leaking pump.
