Question Help for an Air Force guy overseas!!!

All,

I am looking to the dimensions (length x width x height) of a Chevy bumper bar OEM 15545110 unpackaged. I am in the USAF stationed in Europe and discovered local driving styles the hard way. I have found many places that have it on the internet, but the bumper in the box exceeds USPS priority mail limits. Of the 20 companies that I have called, nobody seems to know what they measure without packaging, and either can't or are unwilling to take it out of the box and measure it. So, I need to know the demensions to see if I had it shipped home and repackage if it will be under USPS max.

Thanks,

Z

Re: Help for an Air Force guy overseas!!!

The part number you listed shows as a chevy front bumper. Are you looking for an OEM front bumper, or like a center brushguard/ bull bumper? The part number you have listed shows this

from this website

if this is what you want, anyone (or me even) could go measure the front bumper. Let me know and I'll see what I can dig up

Re: Help for an Air Force guy overseas!!!

Wonder Squirrel,

The OEM # in my origional post is not for the stock bumper that came with my Tahoe. This bumper has no holes for the pads (molding). It is probably the same size as any '96 Tahoe front bumper. I would have measured mine, but threw it in the recycling last week when I thought a replacement was on the way. Here is a pic of the bumper:

(Sorry 3 am and I can't figure out how to attach pic!)

Any help appreciated. This really stinks, my truck is going to be out of the shop in a couple weeks with a custom paint, new rims......, but I don't have a darn $85 bumper.

Thanks,
