Hey guys, I have a 1993 saturn SL2 DOHC with a bad engine. I recently bought a /93 SL2 DOHC that was rear-ended. That car has around 65,000k. I was just wondering if anyone knows about any websites or have any hints for swapping the engines
(i.e. special tools, major things to look out for, etc.) as this is the first engine I have ever swapped. Thanks, Deven.

Re: 93 SL2 DOHC engine swap
nothing major to know. if you know your way around an engine, it will be simple. the only thing is, do you have a manual or auto? either way its possible to pull the engine by itself and replace it, enough though everywhere you look it normally says engine and trans must me pulled. its pretty straight forward though. replacing a saturn engine is easy.

Re: 93 SL2 DOHC engine swap
yeah with the auto trans, you should be able to unbolt the torque converter from the flywheel, have trans pushed to drivers side as far as possible and pull the engine out. it will be pretty simple job, just make sure you label all connections, whether you know what it is for or not, then label like 1, 2, 3, etc. maybe take pictures of everything for an extra reference too
