looking for towing capacity for my 94 truck?

Hello all,

I am looking to find out what the towing capacity is on my 94 std cab long box 4x4 with a 305 and an automatic trans is?

I had a 91 xc long box 350 2 wheel auto that I used to pull a Uhaul car hauler with a 3000Lb car, and that seemed to pull OK. but those rental trailers are heavy! and was wondering if this same load would over tax my 94?

the driver side door has been replaced with one from another GM truck and I can not read any of the codes in the glove box, as time and things wearing on them.

is there a site I can find this info? as my truck did not have the factory manual when I bought it.

any help is appreciated.

thanks Joe

If you have a LMC parts catalog, the vin # is broke down in there, one of the digits tells what the trucks gvw is. Or call the local gm dealer and tell them your vin and they should be able to tell you what the gvw is.
