Help me!!! 89 prelude has now power top speed 35mph

My prelude has no power i got the gas pedal to the floor and im lucky to be going 35-40 mph. As this is happening at the same time there is a flame from the exhaust I call it the bat car lolol. But seriously what could be wrong. I put a new distributer in and no improvment. now Im getting ready to put a fuel pump in. Any info would be great. Anybody know the factory setting for fuel pressure.

1st thing i would check... does it rev freely in park?... is the throttle cable ok?.... are all the fluids at good lvls?... r u towing a bus? !.... is the air flow clogged?

Spark Plugs, spark plug wires, throttle body, there's many things it could be, is there any other problems then power. Is there bad spark, does your car run rough, bad gas mileage, idle high, to much or not enouph fuel flow? Have you had any previous problems?
