I've got a 2001 R/T with 17" rims. I've got to replace the brakes and I can't choose between semi-metallic and ceramic. Anybody got a recommendation on which way to go? I drive mostly highway and interstate, but do a lot of stop-and-go around town. I tend to drive rather fast and I push brakes pretty hard.

Re: Need new brake pads... any suggestions?
Ceramic would be the better bet, but for you, b/c you have a more powerful car, I would strongly suggest factory pads. The cost around $100 for all four wheels, but you won't have to worry about that much brake dust and it's quiet, not like some aftermarket brake pads.

Try Autozone, I got a set of Ceramics for my 94 LHS last year they were around 40 for the front pads. Heck of a difference.

Screw AutoZone(really called AutoJunk),they sel the cheapest junk ones.Wagner has the best ones, the thrermoi Quiets.I have never had problems with them.THere are no brake pad manufacturers that guarentee aganst dust. You do not want the ceramic, noisy when the brakes are applied.
