Weezer's Pinkerton album has oft been quoted as emo. If it is, I'll garnish it with an exception to the rule. It is absolute genius and the epitome of their work.

My former roommate decided to do a kind deed and put 119 Death Cab mp3s on my computer. At the time, I'd never heard of them. I tried about 50 of them. Didn't like any. Deleted.

When I was in school we never had "emo" never even heard of it till a few yrs back. But anyways I was jamming to Weezer back then. Still think my fav song was Undone(the sweater song) genious songwriting by cumo in all the songs I've heard from them.

edit: i must say, their new stuff is not impressive at all. Maladroit was ok, but Make Believe is just not cutting it. I think Beverly Hills has become the new White Trash Dance songs at the college bars. All those white chicks who can't really dance to Missy E would wait 'til def leopard came on before last call have now found a new song to dance to in their drunken stupor.

I agree that you are to discuss music of all forms but I think you are also entitled to a opinion as long as you dont go overboard with it. If people dont disagree once in awhile then we are to perfect.

never bashed the guy for listening to it. i just said emo sucked. imo it does. i'm not telling blacksol28 that he is a pussy and he should get his head out from inside his ass and clean his ears from all that shitty depression bs so he can listen to something good, i'm just saying that emo sucks. for all i know, blacksol could be a pretty cool guy

Death Cab for Cuties music is pretty calming, but i barely even listen to their lyrics, of course I rarely listen to them at all, but I don't think they're too bad compared to the other three.

Your right I am a prety cool guy. And I'm not offended that they dont like my sad, anoying, suicide inducing kind of music. There is a good chance I dont like the kind of music they listen to. Thanks for all the posts, makes me feel important.

lol @ your self assessment. thats exactly how i see emo. now if you are a skinny kid or something that gets picked on, emo seems to be a sensible choice if you just cant adjust to life. but what i dont get is the hot chicks that are emo. what is up with that? being as they are hot chicks i dont see what would make them want to be all sad and shit all the time.
