Re: 74 monte carlo throttle cable

I owned several Monte Carlos in the past and used to get several catalogs that specialized in Monte and Chevrolet parts. I cannot remember their specific names of the catalogs at the moment, but I do remember seeing throttle cables being advertised in at least one of them. One of the catalogs might have been put out by a company called Year One. I do remember that some of these catalogs advertise themselves in the back of car enthusiast magazines like Hot Rod, Car Craft, and other magazines geared toward the older cars. You might want to look in the back of some of those to see if there is any advertisements for them. Did you check out a Hemmings Motor News? They pretty much carry any parts you could possibly need, or list a source of who might have one. Sorry I couldn't be of more assistance, but I hope I gave you some information to lead you in the right direction to find your part. You'll learn that if you own an older vehicle, sometimes it takes a lot of searching and networking to find a specific part for your car, especialy if it has been discontinued by the manufacturer. I do remember that these catalogs used to be free, or low cost that was refunded with first order> Don't know if that is still true. Good Luck.
