Look on the firewall down where your left foot goes and take that little cover off. There are several hot points in there. Thats where I hooked up my strobe lights hot wire too.

You aren't speaking of the fuse box to the left of the dash about knee high, but down closer to the floor.

Right. Its up under the dash. It has a black cover over it with one long plastic nut holding it on. You will either need a test light or miltimeter to see which is hot constantly/switched with ignition.
