Gotian and Musashi AutoX

http://autox.carlc.com/
Look for Kristian Rubio(gotian) and Aldrwin Urbina(musashi). Gotian is under G Stock placing 3rd in my group and 34th overall.
Musashi placed last but they placed him with lighter nimbler cars, overall he placed 102.

There were a total of 143 entries.

Re: Gotian and Musashi AutoX

Congrats, Now keep going, learn to drive better and get faster. (From some one who's been autocrossing for the last 5 years now, I can honestly tell you that there is allways more to learn about driving.)

I know once I got in to orginized motorsports, the urge to drive fast/hard on the street got less and less.. Simply because no matter how hard I tryed to drive on the street, it was nothing compaired to what I could do on track (both open track and autocross). So I finally got to the point where I just stopped trying to "Race" on the street, because it was no longer satisfiying. Kinda got dissapointed with the streets I guess, even cruzing in the back hills got booring.

no offense but i like the random street racing cause its always different against different drivers, when you go to organized driving courses the same people always go. I had fun and im going to do it again but i doubt its going to replace where my roots are from.

Re: Gotian and Musashi AutoX

The upside of running against the same people would be that you get to see your self actually improve...

Take My region for example, I've been chaseing an 89 Si for the last 2years, and last season I average 2 seconds off his time... by the end of this year I'd like to close that gap to a second. That way I know my Driving and my tuning are going in the right direction. If I were to simply run against randome people, there'd be no way to know if me winning or loseing is due to Me and my tuning or THem and their tuning.

Re: Gotian and Musashi AutoX

did Musashi have any more coolant leak out on him? Or figure out why it even dumped in the first place?

Re: Gotian and Musashi AutoX

^ yeah it leaked cause of a faulty radiator car. All fixxed. the car did fine, no problems I just ran too hard and lost alot of time on the slalom, oh well I got a month to practice before the next run.
Gotian did amazingly though. first time out and he got a trophy, I'm so psyched at how good this guy can drive.

Re: Gotian and Musashi AutoX

Nice runs guys. Musashi, I'm sure with a bit of practice you'll shave off quite a few seconds on your runs. Here's a tip. Don't overdrive your car. Especially in the first couple of runs, underdrive it, and get a feel for the course, and with each run focus on a couple of different sections on the track where you need to improve over your last run.

Thanks bro, thats good advise. I noticed Gotian took it nice and easy on his first run and that was his quickest and then he drove the crap out of the car and was slower.
I noticed the harder I drove the more time I spend on the brakes, thats what really killed my time.
