3.8L V6 VIN C Vs. VIN 3

What is the difference between vin c and vin 3 on the 3.8L V6's? I have a 1988 delta 88. Is one hi output and the other just a regular 3.8?

No high out here, differences in balancer shaft, fuel injection design, reliability improvements

C, smoother idle more response, cleaner running.
