Unhappy Need Help! My jeep can't start.

My 1993 grand cherokee w/4.0L just can't start today, few days ago I felt it was hard to start, needs to give it gas to start. But now even I give gas that is not helpful. I had fuel pump changed few yrs ago, not sure whether it turns bad again. I got spark plugs, coils, distributor cap changed half a yr ago. Could it be the problem of fuel system such as injector?
I read some posts here seems It could be the problem or IAC or CPS.... but I don't know how to change them, is it hard?

thx

Could it be as simple as a bad battery do you think or something possibley to do with the starter. Becuase if you just hear like a whinding sound then you know its your starter.

Does it turn over?
If not it may be your Starter to your Battery.

Try to jump the Jeep..

I don't think it's battery although voltage is kinda low 9~10 but I still heard starter turning over. The starter has been changed a couple of yrs ago. fuel pump too,

Just went to Sams Club got the battery changed, it's frustrating, even right after changed the new battery, still have hard time to start my jeep, definately not the problem of battery. I ll unplug the spark plugs and test whether there is spark when key is on. It drives me crazy, sometimes works sometimes doesn't, even I drive to a garage maybe everything is fine. The problem seems so hard to find. Could it be IAC related?

Any idea? thx so much.

It may be worth it to get your Jeep put on a reader, I think Advanced Auto does it for free, but any good place has a ODB reader.

Good luck

Re: Need Help! My jeep can't start.

it's a 93. It isn't obd2 so they wouldn't be able to pull any codes. He can pull them himself using the key trick (on, off about 5 times. The codes will flash through the check engine light.

12 will be battery was disconnected withing the last 50 starts, 55 will be end of code transmission. These will most likely be the ones that come up. If anything else comes up, look up ZJ error codes on google and it'll be an easy fix hopefully

I believe 11 is about the CPS. The CPS is an easy fix as well if you have a socket set, a few extensions and a wobble socket Let us know what you find out.
