Let me say something about devotion

Devotion is hard, in fact at times it can be impossible, that's when you have to wonder when someone's truly devoted, what is driving their emotions?? You could argue many things about people who are devoted, they're great friends, great listeners, even great lovers. Being devoted isn't about give and take, it's about give and give. It's about giving and never expecting anything in return because you know that just their happiness is enough. Happiness lives inside everyone, and i mean everyone, sometimes it lays dorment waiting for someone to bring it back out of them. A devoted person would never stop trying to provide happiness even when the person doesn't want it, either now or ever. Devotion brings out the best in me, it has for over a year now, there are some things in life that are uncontrollable, being devoted is not an unctrollable factor, it's something that lives inside all of us, and right now, i can say...that no matter what i'll always be devoted to her, when she doesn't want me and when she absolutely needs the best of me, and i can honestly say that even though i cant be with her right now, i always have her back. Because i can say this without bragging, i'm a damn good friend, a good comforter, and the most devoted and loving person she'll ever have in her life.

Joshua Jacobson, you're one of the best guys in the whole world.

I'm so sorry that things are hard on you right now, and I wish I could help you more. You're one of the best people I could've asked to meet, and everything will work out for you sooner or later. I promise. You're too good for it not to.

I just think you're really cool...

But yeah, been there, done that, still living it. It's what I do and although it seems to pain you, somewhere, you know it feels good. It feels good that you are that person. If it didn't you would've died by now and your soul, gone. That is how you survive...for our cups are not half empty, neither are they half-full. They are cups and cups that bring happiness to others which is all that really matters making not just a cup, but many, making us, totally full of happiness.

No, I'm not drunk or on any medication or drug of any kind. I'm inspired by my own deep thoughts and confusion as I am lost in myself.

Cheers to Replicant.

Re: Let me say something about devotion

Nate, i must say that was the most profound rambling of scattered thoughts tied together i've ever heard. but you're right in every way of it.
