99 Beetle code P0172
My 99 2.0 Bettle had the check engine light come on. I had it checked and it said the code was P0172 System to rich Bank1 Does this mean the oxygen sensor is acting up?? I had the code erased but it came back on after about 50 miles went back out and then came back on.. and it had the same code again. Has anyone else had this problem and what did you do to fix it??
Thanks for all you guys help Jimmy B.. |

Re: 99 Beetle code P0172
could be many things : front o2 sensor, carboning of intake manifold / injectors, maf sensor, broken fuel pressure regulator vacuum hose

Try posting at groups.yahoo.com at the VAG-COM user group, if you haven't already.
What are you using to pull codes anyway? |
