Check out these mirrors I bought
Nothing too fasinating, just a little somethang different to put on my car. But my question is, How do i go about painting them?? I was told by a co-worker, that i need to sand them down, Prime them, sand them down again, and then paint them. Is this what i really have to do. I thought I could just go to autozone, by the right paint, and paint them myself. If I have to prime them and shit, then i'ma have to take them to a body shop, which i'm sure there gonna rape my wallet. Any advice from you guys???

Take it to a body shop. I doubt you will get a good finish with spray paint and the spray can color never matches the body right.

Yea take it to the body shop is most likely what I would do. Did you get those offline? If so what website?

Re: Check out these mirrors I bought
Im with the body shop idea. I dont think they should charge to much, when i was looking at getting a hood painted the most was around 150. I can ONLY guess mirrors would be cheaper

Re: Check out these mirrors I bought
I would have a hard time seeing a body shop charging more than$100-$150 to paint those for you, and maybe even less but i doubt it. If you don't have much/any experience painting you probably won't like the results if you do it yourself. But there is only one way to get experience painting, and thats to pick up a spray gun. I doubt you will like the results if you rattle can it. It just doesn't look good on the exterior of a car. you can get by "rat-canning" an interior but light acts differently on the exterior of a car and it will deffinatly be noticeable. my
