Electric & Fuel Problem
I tried to start my 1989 Cutlass Ciera last weak and it didn't start so I thought maybe it might be the starter so I changed it out a couple days ago, I started the car up just fine but when I went to turn on the headlights the car killed over and hasn't started since, although it does turn. I changed the battery with a new one and still got nothing, I have no fuel pressure and None of the interior lights seem to work, already checked all the fuses and they were all fine.

Re: Electric & Fuel Problem
checked all ther grounds and even went into an electrical test not getting power to anything other then a few different parts here and there, my alternator, starter, and plugs are getting power but nothing else is, headlights, rearlights, radio, not even the fuel pump is getting power to it.

There is probably a short or a bare wire somewhere.

Re: Electric & Fuel Problem
You might want to check the fusible links by the starter

Re: Electric & Fuel Problem
More than likely the remote terminal post. Trace that red wire from your positive battery post and it should be connected to the side just about a feet where the battery is located and there should be a bolt/nut that holds down battery positive cable. If that nut is not tight anymore then it might allow you to crank but once it needs more power, that connection would stop all electrical power to the engine and kill it. So, tighten it up pretty good.
