97 grand caravan has bad smell in vents

when the blower is turned of for vent, heat, ac, i get a bad smell like a pig farm or bad feet odor.. someone told me there might be some kind of filter? but yet to find one would love any advice thanks...

Don't think they had filters back in 97 . Evaporator drain could be plugged andnot allowing the water to drain out .

Unless you have a little critter that crawled in there and passed on to a better world, it may be mildew.
There have been numerous service bulletins written on the subject and many auto parts stores sell cleaning kits.

95 Voyager w/ summertime "feet" smell...evap drain hose turned horizontal, probably during some prior maintenance...turned vertical and no more stink.
