Angry Sooo not good..well maybe it is!..

Alright so im drivin to my work to pick up somethin i left there and im in the middle lane (theres three) and im about to change into 3rd and this B**CH cuts in front of me so i had to stop and slam on my brakes in the process of shifting ..i dont know how it all went down but all i remember is feeling my shifter POP UP..and my reaction being "HOLY F&%%#$#^%&%^$%$%#$%$^$%$%$^$%$$# ARGHH STUPID #$#^%$%#$$#$#$#%#$# !!!!!!!!!!!!" AND MANY OTHER WORDS..now my shifter is very messed up it SHIFTS BARELY..i was told i might have snapped the bearing in it ..well since i was plannin on gettin rid of the shitbox soon enough so i could get a 4th gen hatch now thats some motivation!...
anyways so i pick up the want ad and i find a 91..i think it was a 91..well whatever..hatchback si 170k starts everytime good condition needs muffler ..$550.00 ....i have about $1100.00 to spend i left a message on the guys machine he sounds like an old guy so he obviously doesnt know the value of such a great car!..im hoping he calls back so i can go check it out..i really hope its in good condition cuz i want an si!!!!!!!!

oh well just thought ide post my incident..

heh, that sounds like a pretty good deal for that car, hopefully you can get it
are you sure it is your tranny, and not just your shift linkage, stabilizer bar or the bushings?

happened to me, ended up being bearings in the tranny. It will probably cost about 1k to fix, hella sucks, I thought it was the clutch, but the mechanic said if it were the clutch it would make noise when the clutch is IN rather than making it OUT like it does now.

skunk2 and dcsports are both great products. I would lean dcsports simply because I think skunk2's shit is way overpriced.

either means to be announced or it means call for price. I hate it when the companies do that:finger:

Melt, you're not really gonna spend a grand on your tranny, are you??? You can find used tranny's all day long (especially in Cali) for probably $250 or less.
