turn signals wont work

I checked the 20 amp fuse and it is not blown: At one time I had a slight issue with the high beams not staying on via the high beam switch that goes into the sterring wheel (same arm that turn signals are on) lol. What else is there to take a look at if the turn signals do not work ?

The turn signal fuse was replaced about a month ago when it WAS blown. But not now

P.S. They do NOT light on the dash either.....

Thanks

Re: turn signals wont work

Possibly the hazard flasher, if it goes bad the turn signals wont work, but I dont recall if the dash lights are also affected. Could be the lighting switch itself on the lever or the dimmer now is shorted out and the system is dead, and thats what popped your fuse previously, just guessing here.

Also I will add that the lighting on these cars is kinda funky or differant than other gm fwd, for instance if I have a front marker lightbulb go out the rear turn signal on that side still works, but the reverse lights wont work, I think this is because of the two flashing bulbs, one in the front marker and one in the headlight when the turn signal is used, if a bulb goes out in my Beretta the siganls on that side wont work at all, while everything else will work fine.

i have a 1995 acheiva,v/6 with headlight problems.the headlights don,t always come on when i turn that switch. but then i can click on the brights and turn off the lights and then back on and the headlights will come on. i have seen somewhere on this forum or elsewhere that it,s common to have trouble with that stalk on the column. someone mentioned a good place to buy a replacement.
