Lifting a truck yourself?

hey guys i told my friend about this place that will lift my 1988 gmc sierra reb cab 2 inch for 380 installed now he told me to do it myself he heard someone lifting there truck using hockey pucks..... The pros use blocks but any1 got any ideas if this will work like drilling a hole in the center of a hockey put just using just enough to raise my truck 2 inch.. sure i need bolts and shit but will this work?

That is very true the hocky puck thing will work but i did that to an older truck of mine and i had to put new pucks throughout the truck with a year or so but i also beat on it on the trail. If i were u i would get a cheap body lift considering it's the exact same thing but this way you wont have to worry about any future problems. Considering that you can get one and lift it yourself for about $150-$300 it is clearly the safer way to go in the long run.

I have lifted a few trucks my own and friends, not too difficult the kits are the best bet because they come with the proper length bolts and all, all you need is a good floor jack a whole lot of wd/40 type lube and a weekend.
