Angry Need to kno symptoms 1g non turbo

Wondering if someone could tell me the intermittent symptoms of a starting to go bad fuel pump. Mine likes to work or it doesn't. It has stranded me twice for 4 hrs a piece. So it sucks. Was wondering if there is a relay that when the crank sensor starts spinnin gets a relay to turn on the fuel pump. Maybe that could be bad.?

why did i ever buy this car?!

Re: Need to kno symptoms 1g non turbo

Only thing I can think of, when we talked earlier you said that you had spark but no fuel. I would first check to see if the pump is working by doing the voltage check in your manuel. If the pump checks out, then I would buy some starter fluid and spray it into the intake and see if it tries to fire, if it tries to start then it is definetly a fuel delivery system problem. Then after that check your fuel regulator and go from there idk, but GL and keep us posted.
