92 & 95 caravans

I'm needing to put a engine in my 95 caravan fwd 3.3L. I found someone that has a 92 with a 3.3L that has low mi that had been hit by a motorcycle.

The 92 is AWD and has a new trany. Can I use the Engine in the 92 to put in my 95? and If so do I have to make any mods?

Thanks for any advice anyone can offer.

Re: 92 & 95 caravans

It seems to me that you would do best to replace both the engine and transmission in your 1995 with the engine and rebuilt transmission from the 1992. To make this work, you will need to remove the AWD Power Transfer Unit from the right side of the 1992 transaxle case and install the right halfshaft extention housing from your 1995 in place of the PTU and use the 1995 right half shaft. This should all bolt right up without modification.
