Re: 01 Eclipse GT Limited Slip Diff.

no they don't come with a lsd from factory. You pretty much have two options for an aftermarket lsd, Kaaz and quaife. If you're interested in the quaife you'll have to check because some years had different axle splines and it wouldn't make a good seal in the lsd and it would leak tranny fluid. I'm not sure if Quaife fixed this problem but you'd have to call and ask or get the axles that fit. Mine fit with no problem but others have had problems with the tranny leaking. It doesn't seem to fit a pattern either because it some cars of certain years leaked but others of the same year didn't.

Re: 01 Eclipse GT Limited Slip Diff.

This is a LSD for a FWD right, meaning, it gets installed in the tranny? Is that correct?

pretty much, i've heard great things about quaife though, they will replace the differential even if you blow it during racing, which isn't easy to get most companies to do!!

kaaz isn't bad though, i've heard of some satisfied people with them, its just my personal preference

and i don't ever remember this being discussed before, might have to add this to the main top thread

uhhh, that wouldn't hurt!! try sending everything in its original format though, cuz i'm almost afraid to mess with it since if i change the smallest thing it goes weird sometimes!

i might try adding a few eclipse specific things as well

how about this....i will create a new topic, paste my write-up in it, preview the topic to see if there is anything messed up, copy it when i get all the errors fixed, send that to you, and cancel the new topic.

i got it, and i fixed it up nicely i think. kinda scary though, cuz copy or quote hardly ever works on this forum. the formatting is just different

holy hell, that this is way off now. i don't understand how it could be that far off. i wrote the topic in this specific software, checked to make sure everything was correct, copied it to a text file, and sent it to you. i don't understand how all of the formatting was removed.
