I am not positive but it sounds like thats the code meaning your car had one of the option packages pontiac was offering at the time. Like in the brochures it would like packages like "A" came with power locks and cruise control and rear defroster while package then "B" would come with that plus power windows and premuim sounds and so on and so on. You can probably call pontiac customer service to know for sure though or a local dealer might be able to tell you.
