'95 that won't go in park

I have a '95 that does no want to go into park. any ideas of how to fix this would be much appreciated. it will go into park eventually if i move the shifter back and forth.

I have not dealt with this myself, but I think your cable is out of adjustment. Might be best to pick up a manual to diagnose correclty. These cars use a cable called a TV cable.

thank you for that information, i was told that by someone, but he was not 100% sure either. going to try that this weekend
