97 chevy blazer lost power and died

Just shut down, while driving, when i finally got it off the road, tried to restart it, noticed the fuel pump making a different noise than usual.....
alot duller of a sound, not the higher pitch wizzing sound it normally makes...
Im thinking its the fuel pump (gone) again, have done 2 on this vehicle in the last 5 years. How much if any, pressure should i have comming outta the pump??

thanks, its my first time posting too

You should have 60psi at the shrader valve... If you don't it's most likely the pump.

Do you often let your tank run close to empty?

After replacement of the last pump i try to keep the fuel levels higher than a 1/4 tank, im gonna get a pressure gauge today and test that out.....
now dropping the tank to replace?? are there special tools needed to release the fuel lines from the pump??

thanks for the reply

Use actual line wrenches when you remove the lines. That way you don't risk stripping the corners...
