Exclamation How-To:Lowrider dancer

hello for all ,today I come here to teach to do a Lowrider Dancer.

It is going oh an idea of the control for Dancer,of course that were not made many alterations on the eletric circuit ,but is alone an idea:

see the entrance of the energy:

1° step,you will need styrenne

2°step,cut the estireno as a measured chassis, with the entrances for the wheels

3°step,,make a bar in " U " of thread of copper ,and verify the movements

4°step, cut 4 styrenne pieces in the measure of the it distances of a wheel for another

5°step,corte more 8 triangles of 90° to give sustentacion to the styrene ,that you will see later so that it serves

6° step ,must to be like this

7°step ,start to plan the places where the motors will occupy

8°step,anote its owed localizations ,note that I use a side with stick ,for not to scratch out in it chassis

9°step, now it marks a hole on each side of the bar in " U" and also one below each axe of the motors, like this

10°step,use the stove to heat a metal, it should be a little fine

11° step,make a hole on the targets:

12°step,to make better use a rasp

13° step, now you can already remove the sticker

14°step,you can use the metal to place on the holes ,so the line it will slide soft

15°step, tie a line in the extremity of the bar in " U",can be a fish line....

16°step,pass the line inside of the hole below the bar in " U",and that same line passes for the hole where will be the motor that will lift the motor of the respective side:like it shows the illustration

17°step,now with those pieces of styrenne that you already cut previously ,you glue next to the bar in " U",and with 2 triangles you give support gluing in the styrenne as exhibition the photo

18°step,repit that on the other side and always near the bar in " U " as exhibition the illustration

19° step, glue the motor in the place that you reserved ,and ties the line in the axe of the motor

OBS:note that the line passes underneath and later it returns as it was explained previously

20°step,cole the second motor, and ties as it was already said

21°step,repita that of the other tem front,or you can only leave for him to lift in the front,so it ties the line in the center of the bar in " U ".

22°step,:YOU NOW HAS A LOWRIDER!!!!!!!! GO SHOW FOR ITS RELATIVES!!!!!! PLAY ENOUGH WITH HIM!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: How-To:Lowrider dancer

Wow, that's quite a tutorial! I don't quite get how the motors and pulleys work, but the rest is cool.

I once read an article about a guy who used servos in place of the shocks to make an R/C lowrider. He needed an airplane radio with about 8 channels converted to surface use (It is illegal to use a plane radio in a car, and vice versa), but it really worked and each wheels was independant of the others.

There are a lot of inexpensive microservos available today, and somebody handy with electronics could rig up something similar using a wired controller or even one of the new mini 'park flyer' radios.

Very cool idea. I don't quite get how it's done yet, but I'm sure I will if I study your tutorial some more... definately a cool idea, thanks for sharing !

Re: How-To:Lowrider dancer

Very creative. A little 'rough' but definitely unique.

Do the motors go in reverse too?

I think the last pic is exactly that... though taken from the top doesn't really show that much.

Re: How-To:Lowrider dancer

I'll never understand why people insist on using heated implements to cut styrene, when a knife or drill will do the job just as easily, and far more safely?

A couple of AA's should do it... unless he's powering each motor seperately.
