so you put a 30 amp in a 15 amp system that your ecm and fuel pump run on, nice, not to sound insaulting, and i know it does, but that was absolutly insain, your lucky you didnt burn up, what if there was an interanal short in that cheep fuel pump you bought and with the high draw fuse it would spark in the tank? now wherever your short/problem was is f.u.b.a.r. time to chase the wires from the fuse block all the way to where they go and find where they have melted and caused hell

My best advice right now with safty in mind, would be to take it to a mechanic.....it sounds like your very frustrated with the situation....it would be best emotionaly and safer....but thats my 2 cents...

Re: i have a BIG problem and i cant figure it out...!

First, you shouldn never put a 30 amp fuse in place of a 15 amp fuse. Another name for a fuse is (Critcal safety component). Like dmbrisket 51 said, you are lucky you didn't start a fire and burn up. I really think you should take your truck to a garage and get it worked on by someone who knows what they are doing. You have a dead short somewhere in that circuit. By placing that 30 amp fuse in there, you are just making the problem worst than what it was in the first place. If you know someone who is more knowledgeable about cars and electrical circuits than you, I recommend you get them to look at your truck. Good luck with your problem and above all, be careful. If you have any more question about your truck, we will help you as much as we can.
