air compressors

hey, i was wondering whether i could use any air compressor for airbrushing; e.g. car compressors to inflate tires. maybe u need a 1/4" airbrush adaptor? im trying to find a cheaper alternative to expressive airbrush compressors.

what is oil-less by the way?

Thats what most people here use. It needs to be oil-less or the oil will spatter through air-brush. oh you wilkl need a pressure regulator as well.

I have a 12 gallon 2 hp compressor that I use to inflate tires, etc and I still use it for airbrushing.
