Shaved Door Handles!
Does anyone know if shaved door handles are legal in Pennsylvania! Having a custom paint job put on my GTP and have shaved almost everything including antenna, trunk lock and removed side moldings. I want to shave the door handles but am having a hard time finding out whether they are legal in Pennsylvania. Thanks for the help!!!

Re: Shaved Door Handles!
that would be a weird law, and I havnt ever heard it was anywhere else.
Its not a safty issue, so I wouldnt think it would be unlawfull to shave the handles anyway, but I guess their are stranger laws they enforce religiously. I'll look around and see what I can find out about this.

Re: Shaved Door Handles!
If PA has laws on the book about car door handles I'd be amazed. Haven't the cops and your legislature got better things to do? Pulling over cars with minor mods like that won't help us win the war on terrorism. Or did they get a Homeland Security grant to milk?
O, by the way, I want to upgrade to a gtp soon. Do you have a web page or pics of your mods, and can you post before and after pics of your custom paint job. |

Re: Shaved Door Handles!
Don't have any at present other than in its present condition which is disassembled. I am putting on a ram air hood, new spoiler and front valance. I will post once the paint is complete and the new wheels and tires are on.
As for the door handles I am concerned about passing state safety inspection not being stopped by the police. Of course they like to stop cars for strange reasons especially tinted windows in this state. |
