Any good US lowering kits?

I want to lower my car but don't really want to order from overseas. Just seems to complicated and I really don't know how the laws work (say for instance they sell me something else and can't get my money back or they won't cover the shipping even if it was their mistake). Also want to know how much if possible. Btw my car is a 99 G20.

i'll make sure you get the right part...i have ordered plenty of parts from japan and has yet to mix up a part number..besides, if there is a mix up, i'll take full responsiblity for it. Like everyone in this forum recommends, if you have a 99+ G20, get the TEINs cuz if you get anything else here, you gonna change it to TEINs eventually so why waste the money else where?
let me know

You raise a good point. I'm not trying to diss Japanese products, but If you get TEINs or another Japanese suspension, what do you do if you blow a strut or need new parts? Can you get another single TEIN strut quickly, or do you have to wait for them to come in from Japan? How many shops have TEINs in stock or can get them? What do you do if you have technical questions about your suspension?
Two good US shops that make suspensions you may want to check out are Ground Control (www.ground-control) and Truechoice. These shops can work with you on the phone directly to design the suspension you want and provide you with service down the road.

hahaha, yah, we know you ain't dissing j-stuff. if you were dissin' j-products, why the hell's a G sitting in your garage? hahaha.

don't worry about that stuff man, just get it and enjoy it. if you're scared of those things you'll never be able to get the right parts you want. like I said, take your manly step, son. hehehe. j/k.

i ordered mine direct from TEIN. can get parts aired here in chicago within 5 days. blow a strut? they warranty it one full year. ask them to send you a new one and ship back the one that's on your car on a call tag. things are just paperwork. paperwork can be taken car at a later time.

this is all part of the game. everyone here who has NA's never complain about the product or their service. then you got luke who's been ordering from TEIN the last 10 or so years of his life. (yah, we was only 14 when he started importing stuff). ???! j/k

unless you jump off a canyon, your Teins'll last you man...Ken's right, dont worry about all those kinda stuff, it's a proven product in Japan (TEIN actually develop all their products on real race tracks and have real professional racing experience)...most companies here never EVER do R&D with their product, it's all C&S..Copy and Sell.

"if you have a 99+ G20, get the TEINs cuz if you get anything else here, you gonna change it to TEINs eventually so why waste the money else where?" - How about the JIC-Magic coilovers? I thought they were better than the Tein's...or does that depend on your driving preference? How long do those take to ship here? like 6 weeks?

those JICs looke like they are racing structs. probably pretty damn stiff for the streets, but if you're like luke and me, we like a firm ass ride. those floaty ameri-cars gets us sea sick. blahahahaha!!! hell, if youre gonna take out the G to the track, get them JICs dude!!! those are true coilovers.

JIC is very stiff and good for the track...it's probably not a very good idea to use it everyday unless you like stiff rides like some people hehe...

TEINs is around 4 weeks to get here if you order on monday. let me know if you are intersted...do the suspension right the first time!

Lowering kit

I have INTRAX adjustable (40-150mm) springs and coilovers on my car. It's a little hard, but it is like driven a Go-kart. You just turn the wheel and the car flyes around the corner...... :frog:

We dont get the pleasure of those Intrax adjustable coilovers on this side of the sea.

The only Intrax product we get is the horrible lowering springs!
