How can I stop the BEEPING??!

Anyone know of a way that I can turn OFF the beeping noises in my '96 Ford Taurus?? (When you open a DOOR, when you have left your keys in the IGNITION, when you have left your HEADLIGHTS on because you NEED to(!), and every OTHER scenario in which you have to hear BEEPING???!!!) My dad was going to do that for me the other day, but discovered that that fuse also runs something else (that I DON'T want turned off). Please can someone help me?!!! I have a paper route (long, boring story), getting in and out of my car for like TWO HOURS, and have to hear this beeping all the time; I'm going inSANE. Please help!!!! Advance thanks, if you can help me. I've searched this forum for probably an hour now and couldn't find anything on this subject (maybe I need better searching skills, I don't know!) Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I believe the warning chime is located within the gem(generic electronic module), I'm not sure if it can be turned off, I've been looking for info, found nothing yet.. there's several wiring circuits that are used for the different systems, ie headlamps, door, key in ignition, etc.. I'm sure there are connectors for each warning switch, may be hard to pull off disabling the noise,,, maybe others know a shortcut, or dealer may know

Go here. www.ford.fleet.com Clickon maintenance tab, then click on owners manual. nter information for your car. Click on link for full manual. Search the index page to see if it tells you how to turn off the alarm. If it is, there is a section called belt minder or safety belt minder. Follow instructions exactly. Good luck.
