Angry Desperate Need of HELP!

I just locked my keys in my camaro. Luckily I am at home and the car is off. But they are the only set of keys that I have. When I bought the car, it only came with one set. So, I really have no way of getting to them. I am NOT willing to break a window or do any bodily damage or otherwise to my baby. Does anyone have any tricks I could try? Its a 94 Z28 with power locks but no keyless entry, if that helps. I freakin out man! Help.

Re: Desperate Need of HELP!

Coat hanger and the power door lock button is the way I have done it in the past. You have to start the hanger threw the front part of the window near the side mirror then slide back. Shouldn't be that difficult.

Re: Desperate Need of HELP!

It's funny you mention that way John. I remember when my pops locked the keys in this Buick Park Avenue, all power. We had to use some thin, thin sheet metal to hit the power lock switch on the driver side (we went through the passenger window). It was indeed a bitch.

Re: Desperate Need of HELP!

I found an easier way! I went to the dealership with ID and proof of ownership and I got 2 keys made for only 3 dollars. Now I have extra door keys and my original keys back. What a bonus. Anyway, thanks for responding so quickly, I'll have to experiment with some of your guy's methods sometime.

It costs less when you go to the locksmith vs. having the locksmith come to you.

Re: Desperate Need of HELP!

plus door keys are cheap... the ingnition key with the VATS is around 24 bucks to have made... and only the dealer can do it...

Re: Desperate Need of HELP!

Not true Dave, I had my key scanned and got the code. The ordered a key threw ebay for like 3 bucks I think it was. Then just went to a random locksmith and had them cut the key.
