Hi everybody,

I've heard good and bad things about macco. Any suggestions or comments would be great

absolutely. don't expect a $250 respray to look like a show quality job (for this price they do no prep work and they might just paint over the bird crap on ur car). expect overspray on all of their jobs. my friend got his nissan sentra painted there for about $400 and it looks pretty damn good (of course there was some overspray on the radiator and they did not paint inside the doors; thats extra). my advice would be to do all prep work in advance then take it to them and buy the package of ur choice.

Re: Macco

honestly best thing you can do is prep the car yourself then choose higher priced package or if u want assured work just take it to a shop that is known for good work

Re: Macco

get a cheapo gun and some paint and sum sandpaper and do it in your garage lol, just clean it really good and make sure to put up plastic where dust can get into the garage. a good exhaust fan is needed or you will pass out lmao and the overspray will gather on the car and look like a thick layer of dust. pretty bad

Re: Macco

just do all of the prep work yourself. wash the car, use a wax stripper to remove the wax. tsand the rough spots, tape and newpaper what you don't want painted--including the windows, radiator (behind the grille), tires, headlights, tail lights, radio antanaes and anything that you don't want painted or have overspray on.

of course, getting it there would be a site to see....

Re: Macco

i would rather give 20 5 year olds a bunch of rattle cans than take a car to macco, unless you want to see your stock color in a year or so because macco paints dont stick
