Re: Good News

Glad to here your CPU is fine gravis2000. Ya those wires are easy to break on there.

I wouldnt wait to long to replace the HUB asemblys, it can cause an accident if it were to lock up and shit. Gmpartsdirect.com if you want to pay to much for the hubs, other wise I'd go to NAPA(or anyother quality store) , I think they are around $110-120 each, and you should replace both at the same time, but most people dont.

One thing if you or who ever does them, make sure an air impact is NOT used to install your new Hub/bearings, it will probley screw up the wheel speed sensors and then you'll hav to do the install all over again.

Re: Good News

Thanks for the advice on not using an impact gun on the bearing I will make sure that is not done. I can't really complain about this part starting to go out though 134,000 miles on a 1999. I have the same plugs and wires and the car still gets really good mileage and burns no oil.

Re: Good News

Thats pretty good those bearing usually dont last that long. Nor do plugs and wires.
Reall good youre not burning oil, but I bet you oil pans got a few drips starting by now.
Most do leak anyways by 100k. I know mine was a few months ago, but its lik new now! Replaced the Hubs on my 99' 4 times now. But I driv her hard most of the time, I think she likes it

Re: Good News

You know I had had a lot of issues with my car but I don't have any leaks either. I have used synthetic motor oil since the 3000 mile mark. I had leaks with the 3 intake gasket that went bad but none from the pan thank God. I have not been easy on my car but not super hard either.
